It is time to look back and see what is trending for 2013. Out of the many albums which were released in the first half of this year - AR Rahman's Mariyan stands out of the crowd. Ilaiyaraja's 'Naadi Thudikuthe' is another interesting album with lots of fusion mix. C.Satya's "Theeya Velaiparkanum Kumaru" is another notable one. Other albums either sounds familiar or have one or two outstanding songs.

	Album:Chennaiyil Oru Naal Song: Kanave nee ...	A melody out of the blue! Very soothing to listen. Other songs in the album are so so..
	Album: Neram Song:Kaadhal Ennulle ...	Another nice song from not we publicized album!
	Album: Thalaivaa Song: Sol Sol ..	This is the Director Vijay-GV Prakash combination. Many songs sound repetitive but this one at least sounds different. But it does have the influence of Harris Jeyaraj's Antartica song!
	Album:Yaa Yaa Song:Yaaru Kitta ...	After a long time a male duet! It is fun to listen to the lyrics. Try it!
	Album:Theeya Velai Seiyanum Kumaru Song:Azhagendral ...	C.Satya of Engeyum Eppodhum fame has churned out a decent album. This song and few more are worth listening!
	Album: Kutti Puli Song:Kaathu Kaathu	More than the song, the video brings back nostalgic memories of small town culture!
	Album:Singam 2 Song:Kannukule ….	Probably DSP wanted to play safe as most of Singam 2 songs sounds like the first one. But it has the beat to keep your foot tapping!
	Album:Virattu Song: En Life in Angel ..	It appears Dharan is specializing in mixing machine music with instruments. This song similar to the one in "Poda Podi"!
	Album:Naadi Thudikuthadi Song: Kaathale Illatha ...	An upcoming Ilaiyaraja's album worth listening. Ilaiyaraja has really explored few "fusion" genres instead of beating the folk path!
