Money, Money, More Money ...
"Money
is not the most important thing in the world. Love is. Fortunately,
I love money" - Jackie Mason.
Dalai Lama once famously quoted,"A
man (or women) sacrifices his (or her) health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices his money to recuperate his health. And then
he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
he lives as if he is never going to die and then he dies having
never really lived"
Hello readers, how are you doing? How
was your black friday (or Diwali) shopping? Did you bust the door?
Did you get your best deals? Did you get all you want? After all,
shopping is the fine art of buying what you want with money you
don't have!
So what makes people get excited about
a shopping day? According to Gad Saad, the author of "The
Evolutionary Bases of Consumption" (Psychology Press, 2007)
shopping is often compared to hunting or gathering. Getting the
best deal or a great bargain is a badge of honor of many shoppers
and the notion that they've won over others through better planning,
more effort or expertise is rewarding to many consumers. Business
world has lapped this human behavior to create shopping events and
to create an opportunity for humans to hunt, gather and receive
their badge of honor in a modern way! The best way to protect yourself
from this aggressive promotion is to stay home and ignore this event
call! If you find that to be difficult, you can buy one of the three
smart
wallet (Bear wallet, Peakcock wallet, Bumblebee wallet) designed
by MIT. Each of these wallet contains a tiny computer that wirelessly
connects to your bank account. The Bear wallet becomes harder to
open if you are running low on funds. The Peacock wallet grows and
shrinks based on your account balance. The Bumble bee wallet vibrates
whenever you spend money. The vibration is longer for larger sum.
May be one of this wallet type can help you control your shopping
behavior!
