Whatever you dream, Dream Big ...

January, the month named after the Roman god Janus is considered to be the highest among all Roman gods. Janus is believed to have two heads which helped him to look into the past and future simultaneously. The god Janus symbolized transition (moving from past into future) and protection (doors and bridges). He was offered the sacrifices first before other gods and he was worshipped before planting, after harvest, during marriage ceremonies and other beginnings. Interestingly, some historians have documented similarities between the god Janus and Hindu god Ganesh.

In modern age, this month marks the end of old memories and beginning of new resolutions(dreams)! Whatever your dreams are dream big as history has proof that one day you will become what you dream! Also, if you have belief in god don't forget to offer dues to Janus or Ganesh :-)

By the way, if you ever had a dream to live in a snow covered land, it may be a right time to visit north east USA. Many cities in north east have received more snowfall than their season's average and more snow is predicted over the next two months. So far New York has recorded 36.1 inches while its season's average is 22.0 inches; Boston has recorded 49.6" while its season's average is 41.8"; Hartford has recorded 57.2" while its season's average is 45.3". Many are complaining except school kids, skiing and skating places!

On a nightmare story, people partying in Beebee, Arkansas had a terrifying new-year eve when 5000 red wing black birds fell dead from the sky over people, cars, roofs, lawns and backyards. It was a nightmare for the local town officials to clean the birds the next day. The cause of the birds death is still unknown. Some theories attribute this to the new year fireworks while some attribute this to a planned poisoning by a local town to control its population. Let us wish the second one is not true!

In this issue, we have hand picked contents on dream theme to coincide with the Janus (January) month where many dream of new beginnings! Remember, all dreams come true if you have the courage to hold on to them and to pursue them :-)
